Executive Board Positions

Executive Board positions are elected officers. All elected officers shall fulfill the duties as listed in the By-laws.


PRESIDENT


Busiest Times of Year: Busiest at the beginning of the year; additional special projects throughout the year as well as monthly meetings (approx. 1 hour per week/2 weeks)


VICE PRESIDENT



Busiest Times of Year: Busiest at the beginning of the year for Membership.


SECRETARY


Busiest Times of Year: Once per month for Membership and Board Meetings


TREASURER


Busiest Times of Year: Busiest at the beginning of the year but flattens out quite soon once you get the hang of it. Attends all PTA meetings, keeps on going budget and check writing.


Frost PTA Communication Team


Executive Board Parliamentarian (Executive Board Position) – This is not an elected position. This position is chosen by the President. The Parliamentarian advises the board of directors and members on matters of parliamentary procedure, and serves as a consultant, especially in a meeting, where only the chair has the authority to rule on questions of order or to answer parliamentary inquiries. (Approx. 1-2 hrs. a month)


Communication Chair – The Communication Chair helps with Facebook, Website, flyers, emails and Council Delegate when needed as well as give status for them or fill in for the Parliamentarian in their absence at any PTA Board or Membership Meetings. They update the PTA Website, Facebook or other social media pages with important information pertaining to the school and PTA such as sponsors, current fundraisers and other PTA information. (Approx.1 hour a week)


Council Delegate – The Council Delegate is liaison between Frost PTA, and the Georgetown Council of PTA’s. Attends PTA Council meetings, held 3-4 times a year. Reports back to PTA any topics that will affect the PTA or Frost. (Approx. 1 hour 3-4 times a year)


Frost PTA Fundraiser Team


Spirit T-shirts Coordinator – Coordinates all aspects of our school t-shirts, Designs T-shirts, Organizes ordering t-shirts, collecting money for t-shirts and distributing t-shirts. T-shirt sales are usually held twice a year. Busiest in August/September and November/December


Fundraiser Coordinator – Assist VP with organizing Spirit Nights. If a fundraiser has not already been chosen, research and present fundraising ideas to the board and membership for approval; make sure fundraisers comply with state, local and federal laws along with district rules.  Assist in developing a plan for promoting the fundraiser and recruiting volunteers.  Coordinate and execute fundraiser based on plans.  Report to board and membership fundraiser results.

Busiest during Fall/Winter Fundraising (Sep/Oct) Approx. 2-4 hours per week


Frost PTA Student Enrichment Team


Reflections Coordinator – Organize and implement the National PTA Art Contest in coordination with the Art Teacher, Submits winner pieces to Local/Unit level (Busiest times are between August-December)



Frost PTA Polar Bear Team


Family Hospitality – the Family Enrichment Chair creates a feeling of friendliness and warmth at each PTA Meeting by providing greeters, name tags, registration sheets, refreshments and other activities as planned. The chairman may provide special activities during such times as American Education Week, Texas Public Schools Week, National PTA Teacher Appreciation Week, etc. (Approx. 1-2 hours a month)


Teacher Hospitality – Organizes quarterly luncheons for the faculty and staff (potluck or themed), Provide monthly snacks for the teacher's lounge and show the teachers and staff how much they are appreciated during Teacher Appreciation week. (Approx. 1-2 hours a month)


Grade Representative – Oversees all grade reps. Is Liaison between PTA Board, Grade Representatives, room parents and teachers. Coordinates with all Room Representatives and Lead Teachers regarding the three class parties (Christmas, Valentines and End of Year) address any other needs that the teacher/grades require
